| On Sunday May 31st, we conducted Part 1 of a 2-part Engine Company Operations program with the members of the Port Chester Fire Department. The focus of the day was creating uniformity across the department's engine fleet. Members repacked their crosslays into the Minute Man configuration, standardized rear horseshoe loads, and configured all bumper lines the same throughout the fleet. Standardization allows firefighters to operate more efficiently and confidently, knowing that hose loads and deployment methods remain consistent regardless of which apparatus they respond on. Thank you to the officers and members of the Port Chester Fire Department for their hard work and commitment to training. We look forward to Part 2. If your department is looking for this type of training or needs assistance standardizing apparatus operations, contact Josh or visit our website at: www.signal73fire.com for your “Suburban to Urban, Street-Smart Fire Training." |
