| Signal 73 was with the members of the Rowayton Fire Department for a full day of Forcible Entry training, covering the skills firefighters need to gain access quickly and efficiently under a variety of conditions.
Throughout the day, members rotated through multiple hands-on stations, including:
• Conventional forcible entry techniques
• Through-the-lock operations
• Metal cutting, including proper saw selection and blade choice for various materials
• Roll-down door forcible entry using our roll-down door prop
The class also emphasized selecting the right tool for the job and understanding the capabilities and limitations of each tool to operate safely and effectively.
We'd like to thank the Rowayton Fire Department as well as members from the Darien fire department for their hospitality and commitment to realistic, hands-on training. It was a great day of instruction, and we appreciate the opportunity to train alongside such a motivated group of firefighters.
