Signal 73 Fire Training was back with the members of the Thomaston Fire Department for an evening focused on vehicle stabilization, lifting, and controlled movement.

Thomaston recently purchased a new TU-28 GRIPHOIST, and this evening served as the department’s in-service training on the new equipment. Members worked through proper setup and operation while learning how the GRIPHOIST can be incorporated into vehicle stabilization, pulling, tensioning, and controlled movement during extrication and rescue operations.

Crews also worked with the department’s new Para-Tech Air Lifting Bags, focusing on proper bag placement, cribbing, lifting techniques, and maintaining stabilization throughout the lift.

Thank you to the members of Thomaston Fire Department for continuing to trust Signal 73 with your training!
