| Members of the Briarcliff Manor Fire Department recently took part in our 8-Hour Advanced Elevator Operations program. The day started with a review of key concepts from the awareness class, along with a refresher on ropes and knots to ensure members were dialed in on their systems and terminology before moving into more technical skill sets. From there, companies progressed into hands-on, scenario-based evolutions, including: Each evolution was designed to simulate realistic first-due challenges and reinforce safe, controlled, and methodical operations inside the hoist way and machine space. We would like to thank the members of the Briarcliff Manor Fire Department for their continued commitment to sharpening their skills and investing in advanced, street-relevant training.
