| While Day 2 of our Advanced Extrication Weekend was underway in Westchester, Signal 73 was also kicking off our first live burn of 2026.
Last Sunday, Orange (CT) FD joined us in New Haven at the Regional Fire School for their first burn of the year.
Members reviewed and ran evolutions on basic hose line advancement under live fire conditions, VES, long hose line stretches, basement fire operations with forcible entry under live fire conditions, and box alarm drills to bring it all together.
Orange FD is a group of dedicated volunteers who show up ready to work and put in the reps. We’re grateful for our continued working relationship and appreciate the trust they place in Signal 73 to deliver real-world, street-smart fire training. Live fire dates are still available—but the calendar is filling fast and we’re already booking into the fall.
