| March 28th & 29th, our instructors were back in Westchester conducting a full weekend Pump Operator class in Briarcliff Manor. This program covers the essential skills every Engine Chauffeur needs—touching on all aspects they may encounter on the street.
Students kicked things off in the classroom Saturday morning before transitioning to hands-on street work that afternoon and into Sunday.
Each day built on the last, reinforcing fundamentals while introducing more advanced operations.

A well-versed Pump Operator / Apparatus Chauffeur can make or break an incident. The ability to think on your feet and find alternate ways to get water moving on that first line is critical. Even the most senior chauffeurs need to keep their reps up.
