Signal 73 Fire Training, LLC is a privately held fire service training company based in Wallingford, Connecticut. Our instructional brings a plethora of knowledge, skills, experience, and certifications to deliver the teachings to your agency to ensure on the next run, they are prepared. The company brings real-world experience directly to the fireground training environment. Signal 73 was built on the principle that effective training must reflect the demands of today’s fireground. The company’s instructors bring firsthand knowledge from busy urban and suburban departments, ensuring that lessons are current, relevant, and grounded in operational reality.
Owner and Lead Instructor Josh Miller's passion for training has driven him to establish Signal 73 as a Training Company that remains true to itself, ensuring that Firefighter that are dedicated to their craft recieve the best instruction possible.

Begining his Fire Service Career in Westchester County New York as an Explorer with the Briarcliff Manor Fire Department, he transitioned to full membership reaching the office of Lieutenant of their Engine Company. He would also obtain his New York State Emergency Medical Techinican, inturn bringing him into Career EMS in the New York City 911 system with NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Emergency Medical Services. He would then migrate south after being hired by the District of Columbia Fire & EMS Department protecting our Nation's Capitol. Assigned to Engine 2 in the districts Chinatown housed with Rescue Squad 1, he would eventually find his way to one of the busiest Engine Company's in the District; Engine 32 in Garfield. While employed for the Distrtict, Josh would also volunteer in the fast paced Prince George's County Fire Department's Company #1 (Hyattsville Fire Department). Wanting to head back north and retain his Northeast routes, he would test and get hired with the City of New Haven Fire Department in Conneticut.
Josh would be assigned to Engine Company 6 in the Dixwell section of the City, later crossing the floor to Truck Company 4. He would find himself the opportunity to transfer to Squad Company #1, later becoming the newly established Rescue Company #1. He remains assigned their as the Asssigned Driver of the Platoon #. He has also been able to assist in advancing the abilities of the Department's Technical Rescue Skills on the procedure of Roof Rope Rescue. On the otherside of the Fire Service, Josh has been all in bringing back the Department's Emerald Society and the establishement of its Pipes & Drums.
