| Great couple of days with the members of Dodgingtown Fire Department for our Low Angle Rope Rescue program.
Night one was spent in the classroom covering the basics of low angle rope rescue, equipment, operational considerations, and a knot-tying refresher to make sure everyone was comfortable with the fundamentals.
Day two was all hands-on, giving members the opportunity to put those skills to work through practical stations and realistic rescue scenarios. From building systems to lowering and hauling operations, everyone had the chance to work through problems and gain confidence with the equipment. Skills also included, anchor points, patient packaging, and movement while tied into the basket.
Thanks to Dodgingtown Fire Department for having us out and for the great group of students. We appreciate the opportunity and look forward to training together again. Also thank you to the members from Hawleyville fire company who participated in this program!
